Rein is an Energy and Utilities Procurement Specialist for SABIC in Europe. SABIC employes 6000 people and operates 12 plastics and chemicals production facilities across Europe. The Energy and Utilities procurement team closely collaborates with manufacturing, business and senior leadership to reduce it’s carbon footprint. SABIC has successfully switched to renewable power for most of it’s main production sites in Europe, and is now tackling the far more difficult issue of finding solutions for renewable heat. Rein has 15 years experience in working in the Energy and Sustainability landscape.  Rein holds a MSc in Chemical Engineering and previously worked as a Advanced Process Control consultant in the petrochemical sector across the European Union, the Middle East and Africa.
