Douwe van der Stroom serves as manager of the smart energy & industry team within the largest port of Europe, the Port of Rotterdam. Building data architecture and digital solutions that can unlock benefits for industry based within the harbour industrial cluster.
Examples include solutions such as the Data Safe House, developing a virtual energy system of the port energy system and organising multi commodity energy hubs. Recently named in the Dutch Financial Times Talent ‘30 under 30’, he works together in a large ecosystem aiming to orchestrate innovation on a social, physical, and digital layer.
