Bernardo Nascimento is Energy and Climate Policy Manager at the International Copper Association (ICA), where he focuses on EU decarbonisation policy, carbon markets, and the energy transition. Prior to joining ICA, he spent three years at European Metals, monitoring, analysing, and advocating on EU legislation related to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), and key energy files. He works closely with EU institutions and contributes to policy discussions on EU ETS reform, CBAM, and the EU’s 2040 climate and energy framework.
